Countdown to Kindergarten

Starting kindergarten is a big moment. Countdown to Kindergarten is a free, 8-week summer camp that helps children in Elkhart County build the social, emotional, and early academic skills they need to walk into that first day ready and confident.

The program is open to all Elkhart County families with children entering kindergarten in the fall. There is no cost, no income verification, and no testing required. Meals, extended care, and transportation support are available to help make participation as easy as possible.

Countdown to Kindergarten is made possible through a collaboration of nine community partners, including Building Strong Brains, working together to improve kindergarten readiness across Elkhart County.
