More than 80 partners gathered at Goshen College Fellowship Hall on March 24 for our quarterly convening. A few of the updates worth carrying with you:

  • Findhelp keeps growing. findhelp.buildingstrongbrains.net has now logged 7,719 searches and 3,735 visitors, with food pantries, parenting classes, and housing as the most-searched categories. A new “Indoor Play Spaces” category is live, and a summer intern dedicated to Findhelp will help us reach further.

  • Maternal & Child Health is shifting into action. With 2024 Fetal & Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) case reviews complete, the team is formally adopting the Community Action Team role and has identified safe sleep as the next priority issue to organize partners around.

  • The Trauma-Informed Curriculum Review is underway. From an initial list of 21 resources, the team has narrowed to a shortlist of five for deeper analysis.

  • The Family-Friendly Workplace Initiative drew 20 attendees to its February forum. Conversations centered on the real cost of turnover (50% to 250% of salary), childcare stipends, and the business case for supporting caregivers, with a clear next step to better engage employers.

  • Coalition health is strong. Findings from the 2025 PARTNER survey showed our network has grown from 61 to 72 organizations, with 123 new inter-organizational relationships since last year. More than 60% of respondents rated trust, shared vision, and openness as “very true”.
